Project P.A.R.T.Y (Demo)

Old proof of concept demo I made back in 2020 based on the concept for a 4 member party based RPG with simplified controls, suitable for mobile devices. Abandoned due to issues with making controls intuitive. Might eventually come back to this idea, but completely redone, as my game dev and programming skills have improved significantly since making this. Due to the possibility, I have decided to upload this for future preservation in case I return to this idea.

How it works:

First, you select a 2 sets of 4 party members, four for a vanguard party, four for backup that the matching vanguard can switch with.

Can wander around map engaging in random encounters. Characters will level up upon gaining enough experience.

Combat happens in 2 phases: 

- Player phase, you can freely control the party and have them attack as many times as you can fit in the time of the phase

- Enemy phase, where enemies will attack your party.

All classes have slightly different input methods, but all revolve around pressing their matching button (or the displayed key prompt). Examples include:

-The hero will brandish his sword and attack a target when you press it. can also press on the hero again to switch to a defensive stance.

-The berzerker will spin his axe while his button is held, doing more damage the longer you hold. Once released, will attack random target. 

-The gunner will brandish her rifle, and you can then press an enemy to have her shoot the specific target (useful for precise enemy targeting). Will need to reload ammo after 3 shots

-The mage will chant a spell as long as their button is pressed. Once the chanting is finished, you can release the button to have the mage attack every enemy on screen (Honestly the most easy and broken character in this demo, and the main reason I abandoned this idea, because what was the point of choosing the characters with harder inputs?)
